I think my greatest fear ever is time
The closing of my portal or the death of a star
Those who say it's fake is lying or their minds couldn't comprehead
The vastness of the canvas they can only see to mars
Everything that's young and new will soon be old and up next
To surrender to whatever lies beyond the 5 sense
I meander through the weather on my goal I'm locked in
Floating by a weightless feather swear my soul enlightened
Just a speck in the wind in this great grand scheme
That's a storm full of dust so we at the gusts whim
I hope that we touch before the rhythm picks up and I lose my heartbeat
I'm scared that death is a desert of nothing

I'm sick of letting time pass
Sitting on my phone scrolling past madness
Smoke a nickel in a second in a minute ten dime bags
Staring at the clock wonder how I get it all back

But still I carry pounds, okay maybe only ounces
Might just burn some down to make the clock fly by
Nah... I most certainly will
While I wait here for my moment like a spoke in the wheel
And hope with every revolution I'm approaching the real
This life's a merry go round gone wild what's the deal
Just take a look around we at the end of an age
The beginning of another hope the water wash away
I keep two cups firm to try and slow the earths turn
Half a dozen spliffs just watch me sit and burn
My wick down I still got lots to learn
It's a big town and I need a spot to earn
Known to wax and wane but I've never felt full
Like ashes in an urn I can't find my soul
